Last weekend families were able to get some hands on time with variety of animals at the Rambling Reptile Road Show. The event was put on by the Meadow Lake Public Library, while the reptiles were supplied by Shannon Halischcuk, who's been in the business of exotic critters for ten years.

Students of Birch Narrows won't return to their old school this year. The construction of a brand new $25 million K-12 school opened for business on August 17. "It's cutting edge and it's going to be a benefit for the kids," said Northern Lights School Division Director Ralph Pilz.

Meadow Laker Gary Gorst has been crowned the 2010 CPCA champion. "The guys I was up against were tough," said Gorst. "It was not an easy task, I can tell you that." He beat out Roger Moore of Loon Lake, and Vern Nolin of Rapid View to round out the top three drivers after the Lloydminster event.
