People have been pointing fingers this past week at who is responsible for the death of a young boy on a northern Saskatchewan First Nation. Ten year old Keith Iron was allegedly killed by a pack of dogs while walking to his cousin's house on the Canoe Lake Cree First Nation last Sunday. [more]

The walk-in clinic at the Meadow Lake Associate Clinic saw some changes last week, in an effort to make the service better for patients. According to Director of Primary Health Care Services Gary Nolin, the clinic is no longer walk-in for patients needing same day but non-emergent care. [more]

It was another winning weekend for both senior Jonas Samson Junior High basketball teams. Both boys and girls teams were in Melfort, and both came home with the gold. Boys coach Rob Kozinsky said his team came through once again and won their third straight tournament. [more]

Local rink plays in curling northerns  Share

The Meadow Lake-based rink of Skip Jason Richter, Greg Kuffert, Greg Ackerman, and Tyson Mutch was in Saskatoon from January 28-31 for the Men's Northern Playdowns. The team played six matches at the Bridge City's Nutana Curling Club, winning three and losing three. [more]
